Mit Out Sound Films is a production company based in Bangkok with a global reach. Our team puts a focus on developing independent film projects outside regular Thai movie systems.

Chatchai Chaiyon (Ko)
​Chatchai worked as a production designer and costume designer for multiple film productions with Thai directors including, Tony Jaa, Nonzee Nimibutr, and Apichatpong Weerasethakul. He founded Mit Out Sound Films, together with Jakrawal Nilthamrong and Phuttiphong Aroonpheng, to focus on developing independent film projects. In recent years, Chatchai has devoted his time to supporting emerging directors and working on international co-production projects.

Jakrawal Nilthamrong (Keng)
Jakrawal is a Thai artist and filmmaker. His work spans from shorts, and documentaries to video installations and feature films. The themes frequently revolve around philosophy, environmental issues, and a decentralized human-centric ideology. His work was shown in international film festivals and art exhibitions including Yamagata Documentary Film Festival, Taipei Biennial 2012, Berlin Film Festival (Forum Expanded), SeMA Biennale, TIFF and many others. His first feature film “Vanishing Point” (2015) was premiered at the 44th Int’l Film Festival Rotterdam and won the festival’s top prize, Hivos Tiger Award. His most recent film “Anatomy of Time” (2021) was premiered at the 78th Venice Film Festival.
Phuttiphong Aroonpheng (Pom)
Phuttiphong Aroonpheng studied fine arts at Bangkok’s Silpakorn University. His short films have screened in festivals including Busan, Rotterdam, Hamburg, and Singapore. His latest short, FERRIS WHEEL, screened in over 20 festivals and received 10 awards. He participated in the 2009 Asian Film Academy at Busan and was also selected as one of the Asian Public Intellectuals fellows by the Nippon Foundation. He also works extensively as a cinematographer, with credits including Vanishing Point (dir. Jakrawal Nilthamrong), The Island Funeral (dir. Pimpaka Towira), and Dolphins (dir. Waleed Al-Shehhi). His debut feature film Manta Ray (2018) won Orizzonti Award for Best Film, Venice Film Festival.
